“Cyberpunk 2077” was nominated in two categories — Players’ Choice and Evolving Game — managing to win the latter.
The Evolving Game award is granted to “the best game that displays excellence in ongoing developer support,” which takes into account
games that “receive ongoing content and updates.”
“Cyberpunk 2077” lost in the category for the Players’ Choice to “Baldur’s Gate 3,” which turned out the biggest winner of the night, collecting awards in five categories in total after being nominated 11 times.
This year’s ceremony was the 20th BAFTA Games Awards and took place on Thursday in London’s Southbank Centre, the largest arts center in the U.K.
Released in 2020, “Cyberpunk 2077” is an action role-playing video game developed by Warsaw-headquartered video game developer CD Projekt. The plot of the video game is set in the fictional metropolis of Night City, California, within the dystopian Cyberpunk universe.
