The awaited connection, named “Baltic Express,” revives a previous service that was suspended just before the pandemic. Back then, however, the train was called “Leo Express” and operated only on weekends. The new “Baltic Express” will operate daily.

The route will include stops in Poznań, Bydgoszcz, and Wrocław.

Trains departing from Prague will run at convenient intervals throughout the day: around 7 AM, 11 AM, 3 PM, and 7 PM (local time), with the last departure serving as a night train. On the other hand, trains departing from the Tricity to Prague will run approximately at midnight, 4 AM, 8 AM, and noon.

From Poznań to Prague in 6 hours!

The journey from Poznań to Prague is expected to take about 6 hours. This is almost the same as traveling to the Czech capital by car without using highways. From Gdynia, the journey will take about 9 hours.

However, before the new connection is launched, the Polish State Railways (PKP) will complete necessary renovations on the crucial sections of railway line 276.

The first service will commence in December 2024.
