The Polish Military continues to closely monitor the situation in Ukraine and remains in constant readiness to ensure the security of Polish airspace, the command added.

Around 4:30 a.m., the ministry announced the deployment of Polish and allied aircraft, warning of increased noise levels, especially in the southeastern area of the country. “Intense activity of Russian long-range aviation was observed tonight, associated with missile strikes on targets within Ukraine,” the body stated.

On Thursday morning, Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reported that Russia had attacked critical infrastructure in his country with over 40 missile rockets and around 40 strike drones the previous night.

“Over 40 rockets and about 40 strike drones. Some of the missiles and drones were intercepted. Unfortunately, only some,” Zelenskyy stated on Telegram.

“Thank you to everyone currently mitigating the effects of the Russian attack and to every soldier of our air defense forces who stood guard last night,” he added.

The President has called on the West to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense in light of the attacks, which included the use of Kinzhal missiles. This latest escalation underscores the ongoing tensions in the region and the critical importance of air defense readiness for Kyiv.
