This announcement came through a social media post by the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.

In her post on Monday, Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz emphasized the significance of this transfer, stating, “PLN 27 billion—Poland has just received the largest transfer from the EU in the history of our membership. Being in the Union pays off.”

The transferred funds stem from the first payment request under the National Recovery Plan. Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz had previously announced on social media that on April 5, a payment request of EUR 6.3 billion was approved by the European Commission. She further stated that the funds were expected to reach Poland by April 15.
