Polish media outlet Eska reported that, despite numerous surveillance cameras, up to a dozen pairs of designer poolside footwear went missing.

In an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza, a man named Piotr explained how he spent his Sunday at Moczydło’s open-air pool with his girlfriend.

They arrived in the late afternoon and left their flip-flops within range of the surveillance cameras. However, 15 minutes later, the footwear had vanished. Piotr went to security to report the theft.

As it turned out he was not the only victim as others also came forward to report stolen flip-flops.

Notably, the footwear in question are Adidas Yeezy Slides. Depending on the color, their market value can range from 300 to 1,400 złotys (€70 to 325). The popular model of flip-flop was created by rapper Kanye West in collaboration with Adidas.

Pawel Wisniewski, manager of the facility, told Gazeta Wyborcza that steps are now being taken to increase security at the complex.
