Next year Poland will celebrate the 100th anniversary of regaining independence. To commemorate this event, TVP will prepare three new TV series. Paths of Hope will be one of these productions. It will be a very elaborate and expensive TV series. Historical stories will be intertwined with the stories of the main characters, who over the centuries significantly contributed to regaining independence. »
This new comedy series will premiere this autumn. Each episode will have a closed formula, but some threads will be continued throughout the episodes. The story will focus on the lives of two culturally and socially different families, which by coincidence are forced to live together. The situation leads to many conflicts. A documentary film about Michał Waszyński directed by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski, which is co-produced by TVP will be screened at 74th Venice International Film Festival as part of the section called Venice Classic Documentary on Cinema. The film will take part in competition for the best documentary about cinema and filmmaking. »
The sixth season of “By the Backwater" is a continuation of the life story of Małgosia, her family and friends. The previous season had high average audience of nearly four million and a 22% of market share in the 4+ group. »
“21 x New York” by Piotr Stasik received the award for the best film in DOC competition for Middle and Full-length documentaries. The Audience Award was given to Marcin Borchardt's document "The Beksinskis. A Sound and Picture Album ". The Festival was held between 8-16 July 2017. »
TVP has just started filming its own TV series. "The Crown of the Kings" is going to be a colorful, costume drama about the reign of the most eminent ruler in Poland's history - Casimir the Great. Besides the main historical theme, stories of love, intrigue, betrayal and turf battles will be always present in the background. »
