A significant aspect of this modernization is the redesign of the square at the intersection of Złota, Jasna, and Zgoda Streets.

The transformation will encompass not only Złota and Zgoda Streets but also Sienkiewicza Street, a substantial part of Jasna Street, and the surrounding squares, including the area in front of the iconic Dom pod Orłami [House Under the Eagles - TVP World]

This redevelopment aims to connect Plac Pięciu Rogów [Five Corners Square], Chmielna Street, the currently revamped Plac Powstańców Warszawa [Warsaw Uprising Square], and the emerging Central Square with the new Museum of Modern Art headquarters.

Warsaw City Hall aims to create a vibrant and multifunctional space in the city center, featuring hundreds of new trees, green spaces, and ornamental fountains, along with three large urban squares.

Pedestrian areas will be expanded, with most of the parking spaces moved underground to the nearly completed garage under the Warsaw Uprising Square.

The project includes detailed plans to replace surfaces with aesthetically pleasing, high-quality materials.

The redesign of the Złota and Zgoda Streets area is being handled by the Warsaw-based RS Landscape Architecture studio, winners of an open competition.

Parallel efforts are underway to redevelop Chmielna and Bracka Streets, with tree planting and pavement renovations in progress. The new spaces will offer ample room for outdoor dining areas.

As part of the "New Center" initiative, construction of the Central Square in front of the Palace of Culture and Science continues. Recent archaeological research has concluded, and the construction of retention tanks for rainwater recovery is nearing completion.
